Melody Hesaraky is an Iranian multidisciplinary artist, director and textile designer based in Brooklyn, NY. She started to paint as early as age four and her art practice and creativity has always been one of the most important parts of her life! She has received her BA(Hons) 3D Design & Material Practice degree from University of Brighton in the UK and her MFA degree in Textile Design from the School of fashion at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Melody’s artistic language doesn’t belong to a specific group of people, a specific gender or a specific nation! It is a universal language in her opinion! As an artist who has lived around the world in search of oneness and common ground between humanity, her work is a bridge between gaps! Her vision and art smooth out the sharp lines, borders and boxes!

During her BA (Hons) Degree at University of Brighton in the UK, she explored working with different materials such as ceramics, metal, polymer and wood as well as stablishing her art static and philosophy. In 2015, she entered School of Fashion at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco! “It wasn’t the glory of fashion world that took me to the school of fashion but rather human body as a tool to tell story is what fascinates me! “She said. After her graduation, she worked for multiple high-end fashion companies as well as continuing her art practice. And in 2019 she founded HES Studio “ ويدوتسا سح “ in Berkeley, California and moved it to Brooklyn, New York in 2020.

During her time in New York City since 2020, she has worked with many other outstanding artists, such as dancers from Ballet Hispánico, and Dance Theatre of Harlem, musicians, photographers and film makers. She has had exhibitions at Brooklyn Expo Center, Knockdown center and some private spaces. Some of her paintings are also currently on view at WCC, West Chelsea Contemporary Gallery in Manhattan.
